With 5 years of professional writing experience, Chris is well versed in both Ap style professional and creative writing. While attending Bemidji State University, Chris worked in the Office of Communication and Marketing where he wrote news for publication on the university’s website or news releases for outside markets. In addition, he wrote for The Northern Student for a semester creating articles for the publication. Outside of professional, he has written multiple articles on baseball-related topics for online blogs and newsletters.

The following are samples of my writing that were posted on the Bemidji State University website as part of my job as a content writer. I was tasked with writing special interest stories about the Bemidji State campus community.

The following are samples of the work that I wrote for my academic career.

Published in BSU Northern Student – Feb. 2020. I interviewed a former student about their experience student teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic to help document a unique semester that no one had prepared him for.

This assignment was to look into why vampires were so common in young adult fiction and their place throughout history. Specifically on how they changed from a monster into a tragic figure.

Written for an online blog, I discussed the Rule 5 draft after the Minnesota Twins were burned by letting Akil Baddoo be selected and him succeeding on a different team. I tried to explain that the unfortunate part was that depth and unknown qualities prevented him from being protected.
